This 3- to 4-day training course covers both safety and technical aspects of telecom tower installation.
Participants begin by learning the fundamentals of tower types and components, as well as site access
and risk assessment. The second day focuses on installation techniques, tools, and structural integrity.
Day three is dedicated to working safely at height, with training in fall protection systems and
emergency rescue planning. An optional fourth day includes electrical and antenna installation,
alignment, testing, and reporting.
Day 1 – Fundamentals of Tower Work
Introduction to tower types (monopole, lattice, guyed)

Site access protocols and safety responsibilities
Hazard identification and risk assessments
Day 2 – Installation Techniques and Tools
Pre-installation steps (e.g., grounding, base setup)
Tools and lifting equipment overview
Tower assembly and erection process
Bolt tightening standards and checking structural integrity
Day 3 – Fall Protection & Rescue Planning
Working at heights: PPE and equipment inspection
Fall protection systems: harnesses, lanyards, lifelines
Emergency rescue plans and procedures
Vertical climbing safety and protocols
Optional Day 4 – Electrical and Antenna Installation + Testing
Installation of feeders, grounding, and lightning protection
Antenna alignment, cabling
System testing and inspection
Final reporting and checklist completion
